"Walrus, like the majority of marine mammals, is happiest when he’s in the water. A creative beast, his keen eye and opposable thumbs have led to photography being his artistic medium of choice. He specialises in images of waves, taken from the water in and around his natural habitat of Porthleven. Big waves, small waves, empty waves or sometimes waves ridden by other local marine mammals known as ‘surfers,’ Walrus strives to catch the drama, emotion and beauty of the sea in his images. In recent months, he has been observed venturing onto the shore in search of new and interesting angles of the waves to capture in his images, as well as portraits of the creatures who choose to ride them."
